A stone of expression, truth, and inner authority.

Historical context

Lapis lazuli held deep significance in Ancient Egypt, where it was associated with the heavens, truth, and divine communication.

It was carved into amulets, placed in burial masks, and worn by royalty as a symbol of power and spiritual connection. The stone was believed to support clarity of thought, protection, and the expression of truth—
associations that continue to follow it across cultures and time.

Color

This stone color is royal blue. The gold shimmer often mixed into Lapis Lazuli comes from the pyrite stone.

Language

Lapis speaks outward. It does not conceal—it reveals. Associated with truth, communication, and self-expression, it carries a presence that feels both grounded and declarative. Where some stones turn inward, lapis moves forward—giving form to what is meant to be said.

Formation

Forms in metamorphic rock when limestone is transformed under heat and pressure deep within the Earth.

Composition

Azurite with pyrite inclusions
(Sulfur — S, 16 | Aluminum — Al, 13 | Sodium — Na, 11)
